A major scales’ 6th or la note is your 1st or do note in your minor scales. For example, my B flat major scale would have a G minor scale since, G is the sixth note in the B flat major scale. For both scales you go up 8 notes and then back down. Both the major and minor scale has the same key signature. For example, both the Bb major scale and the G minor scale have two flats in the key signature.
